beatitude@harrogate

If your spiritual resolutions for new year are already a distant memory, then we’ve got the perfect event for you. During beatitude@harrogate, you can spend quiet time with God, make new friends and get your faith going again. This event for young adults is free for first-timers, so don’t worry if your bank account is a bit empty. It’s taking place at St John Fisher’s High School, where there will be ‘bed and blessings’ – somewhere to sleep as well as pray.

Who is this event for?
Young adults in their late teens/twenties who want to reconnect with God.

When is it?
Registration starts at 6pm on Friday 19th February. This three-day event finishes on Sunday 21st February.

How do I get there?
By train, Harrogate is 30 minutes from Leeds or York. You're actually better off taking the train to Hornbeam Park, which is within walking distance of the school. National Express also run services to Harrogate – the trip from Leeds takes 40 minutes.

For those of you driving, the full address is: St John Fisher High School, Hookstone Drive, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG2 8PT.

Where would I stay?
There will be separate accommodation available for men and women. All you'll need to bring are a sleeping bag, roll-mat, wash kit and ear plugs. Please don't bring expensive items such as an iPod or jewellery.

What if I'm under the age of 18 or over 30? Can I still come?
If you're under the age of 18, you'll need to bring a signed parental consent form. If you're under the age of 16, you'll need to be accompanied by a responsible adult (who is aged 21 or over). There needs to be at least one such Group Guardian for every five children under the age of 16. If you're in your thirties, this retreat isn't really for you, although we do always need mature volunteers to help with the running of our events. If you're interested in coming along to the retreat to help in some way, please contact the National Office to discuss the matter further - we look forward to hearing from you.
